Replication:
- cast Sage of Ancient Lore
- return Sage of Ancient Lore to your hand (opponent cast Reflecting Mage)
- wait a turn (due to Reflecting Mage)
- recast Sage of Ancient Lore
- wait for it to transform
Werewolf of Ancient Hunger should have power and toughness of the combined hand size.
However, in my testing it sometimes does not after having been returned to the players hand.
